Outside of work
When I’m not researching, writing, or editing, I’m usually making something, reading something, playing an RPG, going down a genealogy rabbit hole, or getting outside with my family.
My favorite people
My family is the center of my life. My husband and I met singing together in our college choir, and eight years of marriage later, we have two kids and a cat named Amiga con Queso.
Most of my favorite time with them is pretty ordinary: piling together on the couch for a Disney movie, taking the kids to the playground, and singing songs together.
I build things
I have been programming since childhood. Outside my professional work, I build bots, websites, workflow tools, and small software projects, usually because I have found a problem I want to solve or an idea I want to test.
Fiber arts
I crochet, including amigurumi and other projects.
Dungeons & Dragons
I play RPGs whenever I can, typically playing artificers and wizards.
